Small and medium enterprises

Small and medium enterprises or SMEs has been defined by the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development  Act, 2006, as enterprises with the investment in plant and machinery or equipment between Rs 25 lakhs and Rs 10 crores, in case of a manufacturing-sector company, and between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 crore, in case of a services-sector enterprise.
